Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

*SPOILERS*

The first movie I am going to review is Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Official Poster

Now, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes rotated around a genuis scientist, Will, played by yours truely, James Franco. James Franco in this movie is working at a reasearch facility/lab on a cure for alzheimer's, which is basically a illness which causes memory loss. So at the lab James Franco is testing his cure on apes, taking twelve apes and giving each of them a shot of cure and training them using the tower of henoi which is basically a puzzel that has three rods, with four rings of different sizes, the objective being to get all four rings to the other sides rod, without putting a bigger piece on top of a smaller piece, the perfect score being 15 moves, one of the apes, bright eyes(or something like that) manages to complete the puzzle in 16 moves. Bright eyes gets shot in the movie at one point and James Franco's cure failed. All the chimps have to be put down, but bright eyes had given birth to a baby chimp. Basically James Franco is forced to take the new chimp home. The chimp is named Caesar, and lives with Will for several years.

Now the amazing thing about this movie is that you watch Caesars growth, he gets more and more agressive as he grows as well, soon he attacks a the neighbour. Caesar is taken away to basically a pound for apes. Will leaves him for many days. Eventually Caesar is destroyed in anger he takes it upon himself to take over the world.

Caesar's Army

He finds a way to escape his cage at night and finds his way back home, there he takes some of the new, improved cure for alzheimer's and exposes all the others apes to it. He then trains the apes like Will had done. Then when the time was right, they all escaped. Now Caesar and all the other apes free all these other apes from the zoo, then end up on this bridge, there they take down all the SWAT team and police and end up in the woods. Where in the end Will and Caesar make peace, and all the apes then live free in the woods.

Now this movie, was quiet amazing! I truely did love it, the fighting scenes were well done, well filmed, the only problem was... It was too predictable, everyone knew that the movie would end all happy, I knew who would die too. It would have also been better if it were 3-D.
My Rating: 9/10
